Yoga Testimonials
I Am Hooked on Yoga. I started yoga with Bobbi to see if I could get some relief from my chronic pain and stress, and to learn to relax. Bobbi always takes time to watch each of us and guide us into the poses. Her positive thoughts and affirmations give me strength. One day during class, I just started crying. I’m not sure why; Bobbi says it’s our bodies letting go. Bobbi’s voice makes me feel safe, and I can let go of things that are bothering me. Every Wednesday I can’t wait to hear her voice and the positive message she delivers.
I suffer from IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and when Bobbi placed a singing bowl on my belly area, I could feel my intestines letting go and relaxing. Whether the bowls are next to me or on me, my whole body reacts… I love their healing sound. Bobbi’s classes are like an adventure; you never know what she’ll incorporate next. She cares about her students and when I miss a class, I feel like I missed life that week. Bobbi’s classes give me life and I feel healthier when I practice what she teaches.

I go to yoga classes for the great stretches and the awesome relaxation. I stretch at home, but it’s nothing like going to yoga at Bobbi’s studio. The breathing takes us to the next level and before I know it, I’ve stretched further than I could before. I have scoliosis and yoga has helped quite a bit. I walk out of class feeling revived. Bobbi’s studio is in a beautiful wooded area, and is a very comfortable setting. I can’t imagine practicing yoga on a gym floor! Bobbi also takes a lot of continuing education classes and she brings her knowledge to our classes. I plan to continue taking yoga classes from Bobbi for many years to come.

I initially started yoga class with Bobbi at the recommendation of my chiropractor. It was thought that regularly attending a class with stretching and relaxation would help my scoliosis. I find classes in Bobbi’s home to have a warm and personal touch. She presents a calm, but invigorating and friendly atmosphere for class. Her yoga instruction has not only improved the physical issues with my back, but I look forward to yoga class for the mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits. Besides that–I have made new friends!

I really love my Yoga class with Bobbi…it has taught me to love myself and I feel more joy and contentment in my life. My husband also notices the positive ways that yoga has affected my life

Being present to my pain allowed healing. I had been experiencing pain in my right shoulder for years. Having a private yoga class with Bobbi was amazing. We started with gentle yoga stretches to warm up my shoulder. Bobbi intuitively used breathwork techniques and singing bowls on my shoulder. My pain was completely gone after this session and has not returned. I keep my shoulder happy now with regular yoga stretches.

I am so happy I decided to join Bobbi’s yoga class. Not only am I learning more about my body and the benefits of yoga, I feel amazing, centered, and at peace. I look forward to it each week and wish I could participate even more. The most important thing for me about Bobbi’s yoga class is how comfortable I feel. Practicing yoga in her beautiful and relaxing environment where there is no judgment…only caring, compassion, and understanding is exactly the kind of place I always want to be.

My yoga journey started several years ago. I needed something to calm myself after a day at work and dealing with the needs of a growing family. The last thing I needed was aerobics, more movement. Finally a yoga class!!! I was hooked from the first pose. I could feel my body get out of the rushed state. There was no competition; you do what you can do, no one pushing me for more than I could give. Also there are props to help you in a pose and to relax. Then you add the affirmations and your body responds by letting go, also quieting the mind. When your mind and body work together and trust each other, they know you will not cause any harm. I used to hold my breath and did not realize it until I would make a big sigh. I have learned to breathe and that is very relaxing and calming for the mind and body. As you enter Bobbi’s home there is calmness…
The benefits for me are: better breathing, energy, calmness, less worry, laughter, realizing what is important, learning about my body, my mind, listening to my body, trusting myself, trusting Bobbi, and acknowledgement of myself and every muscle and organ of my body….

I love Bobbi’s personal radiance. That is her gift to us. This dedication, makes her not only an instructor, but a “Wellness Coach”. Her personal attention to detail gives everyone the individual attention we need. The “Singing Bowls” are one of my personal favorites, as I truly believe we can be “mended” on that cellular level of Body, Mind, and Spirit. Blessed with the challenge of Rheumatoid Arthritis, I believe Bobbi is one of God’s Angels, helping me to stretch, breathe and overcome!!!

A friend invited me to attend Laughter Yoga. I told Bobbi before we began that I was in so much pain, I may not be able to do much. She reassured me the class was gentle and we were mainly going to laugh. Boy, did I laugh…it was so much fun. After the class, I was totally amazed, I did not feel any pain in my body.

I started going to Restorative Yoga about three years ago and am hooked. I have learned relaxation and breathing techniques that I use in my daily life to relieve stress. This helps me relax and fall asleep easier at night. And though we don’t do a lot of talking during the sessions, I’ve come to know the others who regularly attend and feel like we’re a small family. Bobbi is a wonderful leader and truly embodies the spirit of yoga and understanding of the teachings and principals behind yoga and shares that knowledge with those who attend her classes.

I am so grateful for my weekly yoga class with Bobbi. When my Dad passed away, my yoga practice supported me in the grieving process and my own healing. It helps me to relax, release tension and feel so much better.

As a beginner to yoga, I did not realize the positive benefits it would have in my life. A profound awareness that I learned was…how to connect inwardly with my own intuition. I became aware of this one day while riding my horse. Without saying a word or making a motion, I thought “lets trot” and we did, I thought “lets run” and we did, it was a wonderful experience. I feel my yoga practice helped me learn the true meaning of feeling connected in body, mind and Spirit and connected to all of life.

I so enjoyed my yoga class this morning. After experiencing the poses and Tibetan bowls on my body…my hip, leg, back and side feel great. I love my yoga practice with Bobbi and feel grateful for the benefits I receive.

For those of you who are thinking of taking up yoga practice (or even for those of you who have been practicing yoga for years), I thought it might be helpful to know why I choose to practice at Serenity with Bobbi. First of all, let me stress that I never considered myself a “stretchy” person, and I thought that I’d look silly trying to do yoga moves in front of other people. Not so! I learned from Bobbi, that it’s not about comparing yourself to others, but rather becoming aware of and comfortable with your body, so that you can take good care of it. There was never a single minute that I felt intimidated or uncomfortable with this group! I’ve been practicing with Bobbi for over two years now, and while I have lost the plantar fasciitis and 30 extra pounds, I realized that there’s so much more to yoga than this. It’s true that things you carry in your mind and spirit have a way of showing up in your body, as I’ve learned over the years that my attitude directly affects my health. At Serenity I’m able to explore these connections without any judgment and with complete acceptance. Bobbi is a wonderful instructor; the folks in my class are amazing; and to top it off, I can choose to experience singing bowls, aromatherapy, breathing techniques and meditation. I very highly recommend the special restorative yoga and holotropic breathing classes. The journey to wellness may seem like a thousand miles long, but no matter the distance, it begins with a single step. Be happy, be well. Namaste.

With lifelong back issues, I wasn’t sure I could do yoga. Bobbi’s classes have made such a difference in my mobility. Her knowledge and compassion are fantastic!!

Yoga helps me feel beautiful. I have been practicing yoga with Bobbi for 15 years. My practice has helped me stay flexible, feel worthy and beautiful about myself. The breathing practices have helped me thru personal down times. When I enter Bobbi’s peaceful, healing environment, a special feeling of wellness and peace fills me. Bobbi ministers to each person with warm stones, cuddly blankets, singing bowls, essential oils and her personal touch. Attending a relaxation session is always a treat – you emerge refreshed, renewed and at peace. Thank you, Bobbi, for helping me to be happy and stay young.

Yoga and Breathwork have changed my life. Bobbi is the reason I do classes at Serenity Yoga. She has supported me in yoga and breathwork, and it has changed my life. Her environment is one of complete warmth and safety. She is always bringing in new areas of interest, and shares them well. I love being treated to vibrational sound therapy with Tibetan bowls, rain stick, and drums. I can go into a deep state of relaxation which I have never experienced with other yoga classes. I enjoy the laughter at the beginning of class to get our energy moving and meditation at the end to feel peaceful.
Restorative yoga is the ultimate. You leave feeling absolutely free of everyday burdens and stress. Bobbi has a gift for showing others how to connect mind, body, and spirit using yoga, and other tools. She has helped me beyond words and will continue to be a huge part
of my life journey

Breathwork Testimonials
I began breath sessions with Bobbi after being diagnosed with a serious illness. Breathing has given me a big part of my life back and, along with yoga, are part of my Preventative Health Care Plan. I love that breathing requires no equipment, it’s free, and can be done anywhere. Nobody will even know you are practicing your breathing; well, maybe they will see it on your face when you are smiling. I feel pure joy in knowing that what I have learned in Breathwork not only makes me feel healthy, but also allows me to help others, sometimes just by the glow on my face and bounce in my step.
Walking into Bobbi’s home is like walking into a safe, relaxing, loving environment. She seems endless with all she knows about yoga, breathing, massage, quotes, and positive affirmations. I continue to learn with each class, and learning to live in the present moment keeps me happy, pain free and stress free. Through Yoga and Breathwork, I have learned to listen to my body and heal on all levels – Body, Mind, and Spirit.

The breathwork sessions I’ve had with Bobbi have helped me discover valuable insights for my personal growth. Bobbi gently guided me to use my breathing to get to a place of greater awareness. I really appreciated that I didn’t have to talk about my issues. In fact, I didn’t even know what they were until I started breathing. I felt Bobbi’s encouraging support and guidance throughout the session. She is highly intuitive, and she knew just what tools to use to help me go deeper in my healing journey—warm stones, essential oils, and sacred sounds. The vibrations of the Tibetan bowls she used at the end of the session resonated throughout my entire body leaving me with a sense of deep peace. Bobbi is a gifted, sensitive healer, and I’m so grateful for her help.

Bobbi is an incredible healer who in a very quiet way invites your soul to come out and shine! My last breath session with her was an amazing journey to the core of my being. I have struggled with self-esteem my whole life… and i have done countless breath sessions and many other therapies… As I was breathing, Bobbi played the singing bowls on my body, the energy that was stuck there in the back of my heart started to move, warmth started spreading, the bowls sung, the energy moved, my breath was finally able to enter these places of tightness… It was the most powerful loving session I have ever had! By creating a sacred place, Bobbi allowed me to find myself and the radiant being that I am!

I am grateful my doctor recommended Breathwork. I began experiencing shortness of breath and tightness in my chest as I was making my bed in the morning. My doctor recommend I see Bobbi for breathwork before taking an inhaler for asthma symptoms and meds for high blood pressure. After the first breath session, my pain was 50% better. It completely disappeared during my second session and has not returned. I felt completely safe and supported as my body released the tension I was holding. I am grateful that my doctor knew of Bobbi and the breathwork that she is sharing.

VIP Day
Recently I experienced a VIP Day with Bobbi. I use the word “experienced” purposely because this day was a profound step in my personal and professional journey. Bobbi not only designed the day specifically for me and the issues I wanted to address, but used her natural healing abilities to gently move me forward through barriers that had been present for decades. Her insight and intuition were spot-on and I felt cleansed, renewed, freed, and refreshed after our amazing time together. I would highly recommend investing in yourself with a VIP Day with Bobbi. Your trajectory in life will change forever!

Workshops
I am so grateful for having attended the “Introduction to Breathwork” Workshop. Bobbi has a wonderfully secure and comfortable environment in which to explore your breath…or for me…my lack thereof. We received helpful information to take home. I learned so much about how breathing relates to every part of my life. I will take this knowledge with me and use it every day. I recommend Bobbi’s Breathwork class to everyone.
~ Stephanie, Gladstone, MI
Once again Bobbi, thank you for your gift of compassion and healing. Yesterday’s Holotropic Breath Workshop was exceptional!! It just amazes me how breathing to loud music and surrendering to the guidance of my Spirit, can transform my life, by releasing, learning, growing and healing. The end result is always so much better than I could ever anticipate. I look forward to attending future Holotropic Workshops to continue my journey of living healthy thru mind, body and Spirit. I am also grateful for the new friendships and support I have found in your workshops. I feel gratitude every day for my practice of breathing, yoga and meditation that you have taught me. Thank you Bobbi!!

Retreats
I attended the first annual Yoga-Breathwork Retreat at Serenity in August 2014. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. A unique blend of yoga, dance, breathwork, meditation…all the tools to connect body, mind and Spirit. I enjoyed the safety and comfort of Bobbi’s beautiful home. I am leaving refreshed and restored.
~ Marlene, Escanaba, MIThe Yoga-Breathwork Retreat was a wonderful girlfriend weekend. Spending this time together with supportive women was very healing and soul nurturing. I am looking forward to next years retreat.
~Tami, Gladstone, MIWhat a wonderful retreat with Bobbi at “Serenity Yoga”! I stayed at the retreat cottage which was absolutely perfect. It was so magical to look out over the wide open meadow as I sipped my morning tea serenaded by birdsong. A sweet deer brought her two fawns to graze in the mornings and to curiously observe me from the safety of the tall wild flowers. The river– right out the door!–offered its own gentle music. The cottage was welcoming, clean, and comfortable without being fancy and the kitchen was well stocked.
I just loved my yoga classes and breathwork with Bobbi! She is such a skilled and gentle guide. Her yoga classes artfully combine gentle yoga with some laughter therapy, singing bowls, inspiring music and breathing in her own personal style that seems so easily natural and nurturing to body and soul. In the breathwork sessions, I felt absolutely safe and secure as I breathed. I was amazed by how deep and cleansing the sessions felt…tears, laughter, grief, yells, ah-ha moments of understanding…I was surprised by how free and protected I felt to explore some tough and rich emotions while Bobbi’s skilled support kept me securely grounded. My time at her retreat was absolutely what I was needingand went well beyondmy expectations. I really appreciate all that Bobbi has done for me. Her joy and dedication to her work shines through in everything she provides to her clients. She is truly gifted. Thank you Bobbi! I will definitely return.
